Terms & Conditions - the basics By using Chaos Kitten Emporium, you’re agreeing to our house rules—aka our Terms & Conditions. These outline the basics of how we operate, keep things fair, and ensure everyone stays on the same page. From shipping policies to returns and store credit, it’s all here to help make your shopping experience smooth and delightful (with just the right touch of mischief).

  • General Information: Chaos Kitten Emporium is a U.S.-based e-commerce business offering bold, creative, and custom-made products. These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and others who access or use our services. By using this website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent if under 18.

  • Shipping and Delivery:

    • Domestic Shipping Only: We currently ship exclusively within the United States.

    • Production Time: All products are custom-made and require 3-7 business days for production. (Some products may take longer)  Shipping times depend on your location.

    • Delays: Chaos Kitten Emporium is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Return and Refunds:

    • Reporting an Issue: If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please reach out to us at chaoskittenemporiumhelp@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery. Please include a photo of the item so we can resolve the issue quickly.

    • Returns & Exchanges: We accept returns for items within 14 days of delivery. Because our items are made-to-order, returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Please ensure items are in their original, unworn condition. We are happy to cover the costs of returns or replacements for any items that arrive defective or incorrect.

    • Refund Process: Once a return is received and inspected, we will issue a refund to your original payment method, minus the 25% restocking fee. Please allow a few business days for your bank to process the transaction.

  • Payments: We accept all major credit cards and PayPal. All transactions are processed securely. Payment details are not stored by Chaos Kitten Emporium.

  • Custom Orders: Custom orders are welcome! They involve a collaborative process between the customer and our team. Once finalized and approved, custom orders are non-refundable.

  • Store Credit and Gift Cards: Store credit and gift cards expire 5 years from the date issued. Purchases exceeding the value of the gift card require an additional payment method at checkout. Using a gift card constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions.

  • Canceling or Altering Orders: Orders cannot be canceled or changed once placed. Additional items cannot be added to an order once it’s processed. If it’s within 24 hours of your previous order, contact customer service with both order numbers, and we’ll try to waive the shipping fee.

  • Price Adjustments: Due to limited quantities and high demand, price adjustments are not available. No exceptions.

  • User Conduct: Users are prohibited from engaging in activities that compromise the security or integrity of the website, violate intellectual property laws, or involve fraudulent/unlawful behavior. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

  • Limitation of Liability: Chaos Kitten Emporium is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services. We do not guarantee that the website will be error-free or uninterrupted.

  • Governing Law: These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Illinois, United States.

  • Dispute Resolution: In the event of a dispute, customers agree to attempt resolution through informal negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be handled via binding arbitration in accordance with Illinois laws.

  • Changes to Terms and Conditions: We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
